Spaniard suffers thigh strain against Orient

Swansea City winger Andrea Orlandi has been sidelined for up to six weeks with a thigh strain. The 26-year-old Spaniard picked up the knock during the FA Cup defeat to Leyton Orient on Saturday and he is now set to miss a number of important matches. Orlandi was on the comeback trail following a thigh injury to his other leg and manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed the disappointing news. "It's disappointing because he had worked so hard to come back from injury," Rodgers told the club's official website. "This time it's a grade two strain on his other thigh." Orlandi, meanwhile, admits he is not looking forward to the upcoming work in the gym but claims he will look to return as soon as possible. "I'm gutted. I'm going to have to start all the rehabilitation work again," he added. "It's back in the gym and on the bike, which is the most boring thing in the world. "It's a bad feeling, but that's football. I've just got to get over it and try and get back as soon as I can." Orlandi has made 18 appearances in the Championship for the Swans so far this season, having arrived at the Liberty Stadium in 2007.
