The on-loan Brighton left-back made his first appearance since August on Saturday against Derby and was partially to blame for all three Rams goals as the Iron went down 3-2.
"I'm disappointed with the result and my own performance," he told thisisscunthorpe.co.uk.
"Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on myself after being out for three months, but that's just the way I am as a person. I know I've been out a long time but I thought I could have kept the ball a bit better at times.
"I was thrown in at the deep end if you like but that is exactly what I wanted, so I've got no complaints about that. It was enjoyable to start - it was a surprise. But after that the enjoyment stopped and it was disappointing really."
He added: "I would like to think if I didn't get injured, my form would have continued to keep me in the team. If I was the club manager and saw I've been injured for the majority of the loan, it's not in the club's interest or favour (to keep him on). That's totally understandable. I've got to try my best and play games."
