Winger would be happy to make loan move to Brighton permanent

Newcastle winger Kazenga LuaLua is open to making his loan move to Brighton permanent. The teenager recently extended his initial one-month loan stay with the League One outfit until the end of the season. And the 19-year-old is not ruling out a permanent move to the Withdean after finding his first team opportunities limited with the Magpies. LuaLua told The Argus: "No, of course not, I wouldn't rule out a permanent move. "Newcastle are going to get back into the Premier League so we will see what happens. "I am here to the end of the season. I've already spoken to my agent and we'll see where we go from there. "Every time at Newcastle I always tried my best in training but I didn't get a chance, I don't know why. "That is what I kept asking myself. You are playing well for the reserves and training well but there is always someone ahead of you for some reason. "Sometimes when you don't get a chance you have to start thinking about your own future."

Bench

LuaLua was substituted in his first five appearances for the Seagulls but played the full 90 minutes in Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Swindon. The 19-year-old is delighted to be getting regular first-team action with Gus Poyet's side. He said: "I am very pleased, because I don't want to go back to Newcastle, playing for the reserves. "That's not what I want this season. I was on the bench all the time, coming on but after that the manager (Chris Hughton) has got his own opinion. "Some people were ahead of me. Fair enough, he's the boss, he can do what he wants, but to come here and play week in and week out I am enjoying myself." Poyet has put on special training sessions for LuaLua and his crossing with his weaker left foot improved against Swindon as a consequence. The winger added: "It makes you feel good. The manager wants you to improve and get the best out of you. "That is what I want the manager to do for me and putting on sessions like that is good. "I came here to play and to learn as well. It has been very good under him."
