Wilson parts with 13 players

Swindon Town will part company with 13 players over the summer as they start their rebuilding programme. A total of 17 players were set to be out of contract over the course of the coming weeks, with the majority of them deemed surplus to requirements. Manager Danny Wilson has made no secret of his desire to shuffle his pack in pre-season, with the Robins hoping to be among the promotion hopefuls in League One next term. As a result, Peter Brezovan, Chris Allen, Barry Corr, Ben Joyce, Lilian Nalis, Michael Pook, Hamid Razak, Jack Smith, Blair Sturrock, Jamie Vincent, Tom Evans, Jake Hyde and Sam Morris have all been released. The four men fortunate enough to avoid the cull, and have been offered new deals, are Craig Easton, Lescinel Jean-Francois, Phil Smith and Patrick Kanyula, who has been put on a short-term contract. A statement on the club's official website read: "The club would like to take the opportunity to thank those released players for their efforts during their time at Swindon and wish them every success in their future careers."
