Bradford have reached agreement with Huddersfield to keep striker Jon Stead on loan until the end of the season.

Stead's previous loan deal expired after last week's FA Cup draw at Millwall, but the 31-year-old has signed an extension until May and is eligible for Saturday's league game against Rochdale. "Jon has been terrific for us this season and during the second half of last season," Bantams boss Phil Parkinson told the club's official website. "He made a significant contribution to the latter stages of our campaign last season and this season he has continued in the same vein. "He has shown a great attitude on and off the pitch and is a great example to all our young players. "Jon has shown he can play up front with a number of different players and in a number of different systems since he's come here." Stead featured on eight occasions and scored one goal for Bradford at the end of last season. He returned to Valley Parade in October and has struck four goals in 14 appearances, plus four assists. He is out of contract at the John Smith's Stadium in the summer and the Terriers have indicated he will not be offered a new deal.
