New signing Sean Scannell believes Huddersfield can be a match for anyone in the Championship next season with a couple more summer signings.

Scannell, 21, completed the move north from Crystal Palace on Friday for an undisclosed fee and is relishing a fresh challenge up north with the newly-promoted club after progressing through the academy at Selhurst Park, where he made his first-team debut aged 17. "I think we can do well," Scannell told the club's official website. "There's already a very good squad of players here and with one or two additions we'll be a match for anyone." The Londoner added: "I've only ever visited the north for away games, but I'm really excited by the new challenge that awaits me. I'm willing to come here, be a part of the team and give everything that I've got to help the team be successful. "I'm looking forward to proving to the Huddersfield fans what I can do on the football field and hopefully being a success. I can play on either wing or up front and I like to score goals. "I haven't scored too many in my career, but I know that I can if provided with the opportunity. I like to do the odd trick and have lots of pace so hopefully I'll be able to excite the fans on a matchday."
