Boro loanee up for games

Adam Hammill admits he is delighted to have linked up with Middlesbrough and to be playing games again. After playing a bit-part for Wolves so far this season, the winger joined Boro on loan for the remainder of the campaign. He started the weekend win at Portsmouth and played his part in the 3-1 triumph, setting up the winner for Marvin Emnes. "There is nothing like playing matches, and I couldn't have asked for more than to have three games in a week," he said. "It's going to do me the world of good. "It is fantastic to be involved at a club that is going for promotion. "Everywhere else I've played I've been in relegation battles so it is nice to be involved in a club that is looking to go up. "We need to keep on winning but we have a great chance to get points on the board.

Quality

"There's a lot of quality in the squad here and hopefully we can win promotion. "We are right up there and have a really good chance to go up. "We knew that Portsmouth and then the next two games at home gave us a chance to take nine points and that will throw us right back into the mix. "It was important to go to Portsmouth and stand up to what we knew they would throw at us. "We did that, we matched them physically, we played well and got three goals so it was a great result for the team and a great start for me personally. "The manager just wants me to do what I did at Barnsley basically which was get forward, be a handful, bring some pace and score goals and to be honest, I can't wait. "Luckily there's two more games this week and that will help get me right up to speed and I'm sure in those the Boro fans will see me at my best."
