Preston have confirmed that loan pair Jamie McCombe and Nathan Doyle have returned to their parent clubs.
Neither player featured in Monday's 1-1 draw at Rochdale but both impressed having arrived at Deepdale in November. Huddersfield defender McCombe, 29, made seven appearances while Barnsley midfielder Doyle, 24, played six times. The club said in a statement on their official website: "Preston North End would like to thank both Jamie and Nathan for their efforts."
