Midfielder has big decision to make regarding Huddersfield move

Falkirk have confirmed Scott Arfield has been granted permission to discuss a £400,000 move to Huddersfield Town. Skysports.com revealed on Monday that Huddersfield were aiming to win the race for the highly-rated midfielder's signature, with Southampton, Hearts and Hibernian also showing an interest. Arfield has travelled to the Galpharm Stadium for talks and to undergo a medical, and Falkirk's managing director George Craig confirmed the Terriers are currently in pole position to sign the 21-year-old. "We have given them permission to talk to Scott," said Craig. "A number of clubs have expressed an interest and Huddersfield have followed that up, we have had some discussions and they are ahead of the game. "Other clubs have asked to be kept informed." A £400,000 fee is close to being agreed between the two clubs and Craig acknowledged Arfield has a big decision to make regarding his career following Falkirk's relegation from the SPL. Craig added: "It is not just about the two clubs agreeing a fee. "It is a big decision for Scott and it has got to be the right club for him."
