Reds looking to strengthen in all areas

Nottingham Forest will look to sign seven of last season's loan stars on permanent deals, according to reports. The Reds relied heavily on short-term deals during the 2008/09 campaign as they battled against relegation from the Championship. Having successfully beaten the drop, the club are now plotting to push on next term. Billy Davies is keen to strengthen all areas of his squad and feels those players that came in to help out last season would prove to be useful additions. Talks will now be held with Liverpool and Aston Villa regarding the future of Paul Anderson and Isaiah Osbourne, while Forest will also look to take Chris Gunter from Tottenham. Their pursuit of Queens Park Rangers striker Dexter Blackstock is ongoing and Joel Lynch will also be sounded out about a potential switch from Brighton. An audacious approach for Birmingham forward Gary McSheffrey has been touted, while Davies will look to bring in goalkeeper cover in the form of either Derby's Lee Camp or Everton's Iain Turner.
