Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Brighton which will see Joel Lynch remain at the club.

Defender set to stay at the City Ground for another month

Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement with Brighton which will see Joel Lynch remain at the club. The new deal will see the defender stay on at the City Ground until 28th December. The 21-year-old made five appearances for Colin Calderwood's side during his first month on Trentside and will be hoping to remain part of the manager's first-team plans. Forest have made a disappointing start to life back in the Championship this term, but Lynch was part of a side which secured a much-needed 2-1 success away at Crystal Palace on Tuesday. He is expected to feature once again on Sunday as the Reds make the short trip to Pride Park for an eagerly-anticipated clash with arch-rivals Derby. With Julian Bennett still sidelined with a broken collarbone, Lynch is likely to continue deputising at left-back against The Rams.
