Hudson eyes Terriers stay

Mark Hudson has set his sights on securing a new deal at Huddersfield.

Mark Hudson has set his sights on securing a new deal at Huddersfield.

The 26-year-old's future at the club looked bleak in January as he was placed on the transfer list by former manager Peter Jackson.

A move during the January transfer window failed to materialise and he has featured under new manager Andy Ritchie.

Hudson's contract is due to expire in the summer, but he is keen to remain part of Ritchie's plans.

"I want to stay at this club and will start talks with the new boss soon," Hudson told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

"This is a huge club and hopefully I'm in the plans of the new manager, having played the last two games for him, so hopefully he's liked what he's seen and we can strike a deal.

"This is a great club and under the guidance of the new boss we can really go places."
