Huddersfield have decided to extend the contract of veteran striker Andy Booth, and hand teenager Joe Skarz his first professional deal.

Local boy Booth, who started his career with The Terriers in 1992, has been given a 12-month extension to his contract, which was due to expire at the end of the season.

Booth, now 33, will remain at The Galpharm Stadium until the summer of 2008.

While 17-year-old Skarz, a product of Town's academy, has signed a one-year deal after breaking through to the first-team this season at left-back.
