Ex-Rangers defender Ross Perry has signed a contract with Northampton until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old free agent has spent the majority of his career north of the border with the Gers, Falkirk and Raith but did spend a season on loan with Oxford. "Ross is coming in to boost the squad for the rest of this season and so we can have a look at him for next season," boss Chris Wilder told the Cobblers' official website. "I have worked with Ross before when I was at Oxford so I know a fair bit about him and his character. He impressed me then and I am pleased we have been able to add him to the squad and give him this opportunity." Perry's move is subject to international clearance being received.
