Northampton have been dealt an injury blow with the news that striker Marc Richards could miss the remainder of the season.

Richards, the leading scorer in League Two with 17 goals, has suffered a tear in his Achilles tendon and will be out of action for between six and eight weeks. "It is a major blow for us," Cobblers manager Chris Wilder told the club's official website. "Any team would feel the absence of not just their top scorer, but the top scorer in the league. "Marc has been superb for us this season and we will miss him, but we have shown we can get results against the best teams in this league without him and this will give extended opportunities to other players."
