Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd believes latest signing Ian Morris will only get better following his arrival from Torquay.
Irishman Morris, 26, who joined the Cobblers a two-year deal earlier this week, was a youngster at Leeds when Boothroyd was a coach at Elland Road. "I've known Ian for a long time and he was actually in the youth team at Leeds when I was first-team coach," Boothroyd told the club's official website. "I've followed his career since then and what I like about him is that he can play in a number of positions. "He was excellent for Torquay against us when they got to the play-offs and he's got three promotions under his belt. "He's adaptable, a proven winner and I think there is still more to come from him. "I think we could have got a few more goals from midfield last year and that is something we have to change this season. "He has played at a higher level and I think he wants to help us try and move up to the next level."
