Northampton goalkeeper Shane Higgs has made his long-awaited return from injury in a practise match against Notts County.
Higgs played for the first time in eight months on Wednesday, managing 45 minutes as he continues his comeback from an Achilles injury sustained in January. As well as Higgs, who was replaced by teenager Dean Snedker at half time, Louis Moult, Paul Turnbull, Ishmel Demontagnac, Henoc Mukendi, Lewis Wilson and Anthony Charles all had a run out as the Cobblers won 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Moult.
