Antonio German is determined to break into Brentford's first team this season having impressed in the development squad.

The former QPR striker made one and scored one in the Bees development squad's 3-2 defeat at Bristol City on Tuesday. German is looking to get his career back on track having scored three goals in five starts as a teenager for Rangers before slipping down the divisions in spells with Southend, Yeovil and Stockport. "I am trying to make the next step and play games," he told the club's official website. "I'm 20 and have been playing reserve-team games for a long time. I want to get myself established. "I am judged on goals, if I keep scoring I hope to get another chance."
