Life's a beach for Dons boss

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson revealed a taste of the beach life was behind his side's 1-0 win at Bournemouth on Saturday.

Dons defender Mathias Doumbe pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area midway through the first half to lift Robinson's side to within four points of an automatic promotion place. Robinson said: "Alex Rae did a lot of work on Bournemouth and we feel tactically we got the match preparation right. "We feel that we came here very strong - mentally. We had a lovely training session on the beach on Friday. We've enjoyed our time on the south coast in the last two days. "I love the beach. It's a laugh! People get so stressed out about this job and in the industry. My head is always on the line with my job as a manager and I understand that. "But if I can't do this smiling and enjoying it, then I don't want to do it. We just felt that we'd worked hard all week. "We didn't train on Friday, but it was a risk which has paid off for us."
