Pools win Hartley card appeal

Hartlepool have been successful in their appeal against Peter Hartley's yellow card during the weekend win at Scunthorpe.

Pools defender Hartley was booked by referee Andy Woolmer for a first-half challenge on Scunthorpe striker Bobby Grant, but DVD evidence showed it was fellow defender Evan Horwood who committed the foul. The Football Association have upheld Pools' appeal on the grounds of mistaken identity. Hartley is currently on four yellow cards for the season and would have missed Saturday's home clash with Yeovil due to an automatic one-game ban had the appeal not been successful.
