Cobblers duo set for loan moves

Strikers Jake Robinson and Bas Savage have been made available for loan by Northampton after dismal performances since their arrivals.

Both players have failed to impress manager Gary Johnson since arriving at the club in the summer. The duo are not technically transfer-listed as no permanent deals can take place until the window re-opens in January. But it is understood that any club that takes either player at this stage could be doing so with a view to a full-time deal in the new year. Robinson joined Northampton on a free transfer following his release by Shrewsbury. The 25-year-old has failed to score in eight starts and four substitute appearances. Savage, 29, also arrived at Sixfields on a free transfer after being released by Dagenham & Redbridge. He has not scored in 10 appearances - six coming from the bench.
