Bell happy at shared role

Crewe midfielder Lee Bell says he is ready to share the captain's job with David Artell and Ashley Westwood next season.

Boss Dario Gradi has introduced a rotation system to share responsibility among his players and offer experience to youngster Westwood. And Bell has revealed he has no issues with the system. He told the club's official website: "I am more than happy to share the captain's armband. I enjoy it and it is a great honour. "Crewe is a great club and both Dave and Westy feel the same way as I do. They are great leaders and want what's best for this club." Bell added: "I would think there are some fans who would like just one captain. That is usually tradition but in the modern era when players are rotated in squads the armband does change a lot more than it used to anyway."
