Adebayo Akinfenwa has revealed he has "unfinished business" to attend to after rejoining Northampton Town.
The striker, who turned down a new contract at Gillingham, has returned to Sixfields on a two-year deal and believes the Cobblers have what it takes to win promotion to League One next season.
"It's good to be back and I never really wanted to leave in the first place," he told the Northampton Chronicle and Echo.
"The fans here have always shown me mad love and I think we've got some unfinished business here. We were close to the play-offs the last season I was here and I'd like to think we can go one step further this time.
"I had to sit down with my family and then I spoke to the gaffer, who drew up a plan of what we could do and took it from there.
"I've really got a love affair with Northampton so it was an easy decision to make once I'd spoken to the new manager and sorted things out."
