Northampton Town's play-off hopes have been given a huge boost with top scorer Adebayo Akinfenwa set to return after missing the last three games.
Since the former Swansea striker limped off against Torquay United, the Cobblers have lost three on the bounce, with their play-off chances slipping away from them.
However, the 16-goal marksman told skysports.com that he is hoping to be available for their crucial home clash with rivals Shrewsbury Town this weekend.
"I'm hoping to step up my rehab by doing some running and hopefully, if all goes well, then I'll be back for Saturday," he said.
"They are the games you want to play in because you want to test yourself against the best sides in the division, so to miss games against two sides (Notts County and Rochdale) that have won promotion was disappointing.
"Before I picked up the injury we were on a good run and had a solid, consistent side, so it wasn't the best time to get it.
"I knew as soon as did it that I would be out for a few weeks though, as I've had something similar before and the swelling told me how long I'd be sidelined.
"It is frustrating, but it has gone now and I've just got to concentrate on getting back for the remaining three games."
Just three points separate the Cobblers from the top seven and, despite losing their last three games, Akinfenwa is confident that they can still qualify for the play-offs.
"We are a confident bunch at the moment, despite losing three on the trot, and the place is very upbeat," he said.
"We know that on our day we can beat anyone, so it is just a case of picking up a win as soon as possible to end the rut and then kick on from that.
"Shrewsbury is a huge game for us because they will go above us if they beat us, so that is a huge incentive for us.
"We also have got two of our last three games at home, so that gives us an extra boost as well."
