Sampson happy to get striker's injury fixed
Northampton Town striker Steve Guinan is set to be sidelined for a month after being booked in for a hernia operation.
Guinan has scored seven goals since joining the Cobblers from Hereford United in the summer, but has been hampered by the hernia problem of late.
The 33-year-old will be operated on next Tuesday and Northampton boss Ian Sampson is keen for the injury to be fixed.
Sampson told the Northampton Evening Telegraph: "Steve has seen a specialist and we've got him in to have his hernia operated on this Tuesday.
"That will put him out for a month, but we just want to get it sorted out."
Luke Guttridge is also struggling with a knee problem and will miss a week of training after an injection.
