Colchester United have signed Leeds United defender Matt Heath on a month's loan.
Heath has dropped down the pecking order at Elland Road since the arrival of Gary McAllister.
The former Leicester ace has made only one start since New Year's day and McAllister is willing to loan him out.
U's boss Geraint Williams moved for Heath to help provide cover for the injured Chris Coyne.
Heath is set to go straight into the Colchester squad for this weekend's home clash with Cardiff.
