Alex Nicholls has extended his contract with Walsall and will remain at the Banks's Stadium until 2010.
The 20-year-old, who has risen through the ranks at the club, has made 17 appearances so far this term and now features regularly in the first team.
Boss Richard Money says he is pleased with the deal, more so with Nicholls working his way into the squad from a young age.
"I am delighted that Alex has signed a new contract extension," Money told the club's official website.
"This further enhances our commitment as a club to upgrade the contracts of our promising youngsters."
