Former Manchester United defender has contract terminated

QPR have confirmed that they have released defender John Curtis from the club. The 29-year-old has failed to hold down a regular place in the Rangers squad and has had his contract terminated along with fellow fringe players Danny Cullip and Nicky Ward.

Gratitude

The former Manchester United full-back made five appearances for QPR after being brought to the club by then manager John Gregory in the summer. A statement on the club's official website said: "The club would like to place on the record their thanks to John for his contribution during his short spell in W12 and wish him a successful future."
