Ian Taylor, Eoin Jess and David Hunt have all agreed new one-year deals at Northampton.
38-year-old Taylor has decided to postpone plans to retire and he will now stay on for at least another year at The Sixfields.
Manager John Gorman is now hoping young defender Luke Chambers will commit his future to the club.
"It's been hard work but all three of them are good lads and I'm happy they've now all signed on for next season," said Gorman.
"I'm really looking forward to working with the three of them. Ian Taylor and Eoin Jess have obviously got a lot of experience but I like young players like David Hunt. He is a smashing player and I hope I can improve him.
"I really want to keep hold of Luke Chambers as well and he is coming down on Thursday with his agent and if we can iron out a few bits and pieces hopefully we'll have another bit of good news then."
