Five net pro deals at Sixfields

Northampton Town have given professional terms to five of their youngsters.

Northampton Town have given professional terms to five of their up-and-coming youngsters.

Defenders Liam Dolman and Tom Bonner, midfielders Danny Green and Danny Mitchell and striker Scott Cross (pictured) have all been offered contracts and will be in manager Colin Calderwood's plans next term.

Cross, Dolman and Bonner have all been involved with the first team this season and all five will add to the already youthful squad at Sixfields.

"These players joining the first-team squad adds to the recent and growing trend of the club producing our own young players following on from Luke Chambers and Mark Bunn," said head of youth at The Cobblers, Scott McLachlan.

"They will join a number of other young players in the first-team squad, offering a good blend of youth and experience."
