Jess and Taylor extend deals

Northampton Town have extended the contracts of Eoin Jess and Ian Taylor.

Northampton Town have extended the contracts of Eoin Jess and Ian Taylor until the end of the current season.

Both Jess (pictured) and Taylor initially signed six-month deals with The Cobblers when they joined the ambitious League Two club back in the summer.

The experienced pair have now decided to see out the season at The Sixfields Stadium - much to the delight of manager Colin Calderwood.

"It's a huge boost for us," Calderwood told the club's official website.

"Both are excellent professionals and we are delighted that both have agreed to stay.

"Both players have been totally committed and remain totally committed to helping us achieve success this season.

"We always wanted them to stay, and they were always keen to stay and I am delighted with this news.

"Not only have they made a big difference on the field, they both have a big influence in the dressing room and they are excellent role models for the younger players to look up to."

Meanwhile, Cobblers midfielder Bradley Johnson has joined Nationwide Conference club Gravesend & Northfleet on a month's loan.
