Ambitious Third Division outfit Northampton Town are reportedly leading the chase for Cork City striker John O'Flynn.
Cobblers boss Colin Calderwood (pictured) is a known admirer of the lively forward and has directed the club's director of football, John Deehan, to attend a series of Eircom League matches in the next few weeks.
The 21-year-old has overcome a series of injuries this season and is currently showing the type of form that has previously attracted interest from England.
Notts County are also thought to be interested in the player, who endured an unsuccessful spell with Peterborough two years ago.
Meahnwhile, Cobblers striker Steve Morison has signed a new one-year contract with the League Two club for next season.
