NORTHAMPTON TOWN have moved to hand youth star Steve Morison a professional contract.

The youngster has impressed after coming through the reserves to claim a first team berth and has been rewarded with a one-year professional deal.

At just 19, Morison very much represents the future for Northampton - and caretaker manager Martin Wilkinson (pictured) will be hoping the striker continues to play to his potential.

Morison has scored 14 goals this season in youth and reserve team fixtures and his form earned him recent chances with the first string.
