Zubar makes Port Vale move

Port Vale have signed Bournemouth defender Stephane Zubar on a one-month loan deal.

Zubar had been a target for former Vale manager Micky Adams, who resigned on September 18, but caretaker boss Rob Page has maintained the club's interest in the 27-year-old Guadeloupe international. Zubar, who can play right-back or centre-back, joined Bournemouth in September 2011 but has been restricted to just 28 appearances for the Cherries after struggling to regain his spot in the first-team squad following long-term injury. He is expected to go straight into the Vale squad that travels to Fleetwood at the weekend.
