Micky Adams admits the end of the season cannot come quickly enough for Port Vale after they went down 1-0 at Rotherham.
The hosts played the entire second half with 10 men after Richie Smallwood was sent off but Millers sub Kieran Agard hit a 79th-minute winner
"Obviously we have got to feel disappointed," said Vale boss Adams.
"We had a lot of application, but obviously when a team goes down to 10 men you expect to get something out of it.
"Both goalkeepers made some good saves, but we are really down to the bare bones because of injuries. Rotherham went down to 10 men, but they were able to take two players off and put another two on and were then able to put Alex Revell on.
"Rotherham showed the strengths in their squad, but we didn't have that, and we haven't had that for a while now. The season really cannot come to an end too soon for us.
"We had players in positions that were unfamiliar to them, but I think the thing that disappoints me the most was our forward play, particularly in the second half."
