Port Vale defender Dan Jones will this week step up his return from injury with a run out for the reserves.
Jones, who has missed the last five matches with a groin strain, has been pencilled in to play against Morecambe on Wednesday. The game will be the left-back's first taste of action since suffering the injury in the home defeat to Wolves on August 31. The 26-year-old is expected to be one of a number of first-team players who will feature against the Shrimps.
