Port Vale's first game back in League One is against Brentford at home on August 3.

Vale, who finished third in League Two last season, then travel to Colchester before taking on Bradford on August 17.

They host Wolves on August 31, with the return journey on March 1, while they visit Crewe on November 23 and welcome them to Vale Park on February 22.

They enjoy home comforts at Christmas with games against Notts County on Boxing Day and Rotherham on December 29, though see the new year in at Preston on January 1.

Easter weekend sees them host MK Dons and then travel to Rotherham on Easter Monday while their final home game of the season is against Micky Adams' former club Sheffield United.

They sign off with a trip to Peterborough on May 3.
