Man City defender could return for another loan at Selhurst Park

Sky Sports understands Crystal Palace are considering a move to bring Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern back to the club on loan. McGivern had a spell at Selhurst Park at the start of last season and made five appearances for Palace before heading to Championship rivals Bristol City for the rest of the campaign. The Northern Ireland international is now thought to be wanted back in the capital by Palace boss Dougie Freedman, who is looking to finalise his squad before the start of the new season. The 22-year-old has built up valuable first-team experience away from City in recent years, also taking in loan spells at Morecambe, Leicester City and Walsall. He has made just one substitute's appearance in the Premier League for City, but started in Sunday's 4-0 friendly win over Limerick and is attracting interest from several clubs.
