Port Vale are weighing up whether to make an approach to sign former loan duo Liam Chilvers and Jennison Myrie-Williams on a permanent basis.
Chilvers and Myrie-Williams both enjoyed loan spells at Vale Park in the first half of last season and are available on free transfers after being released by Notts County and Stevenage respectively.
League Two side Vale currently have a threadbare squad and assistant manager Mark Grew has confirmed he and boss Micky Adams are sifting through the list of available players.
Grew told The Sentinel: "There are some people who have been released this summer who we would love to sign.
"There are players who could play in the Championship, and you never know at this stage how things are going to drop. We want to bring in quality.
"Liam and Jennison will both be on our list of targets because they did so well here on loan, but that doesn't necessarily mean any deals are imminent.
"Jennison was excellent for us, while Liam played very well before going back to Notts County and winning his place back."
