Thorn happy to bolster attack with capture of Man City youngster

Coventry City have boosted their attacking options by signing Manchester City youngster Alex Nimely on loan for the rest of the season. Nimely has recently completed a three-month loan deal at Middlesbrough and he made nine substitute appearances in the Championship during his time at The Riverside. The 20-year-old will now gain further first-team experience at Coventry and manager Andy Thorn is happy to have added Nimely to his squad. "Alex is a very, very talented young player for his age in this country. I've liked him for a long time," said Thorn.

Big talent

"He gives us a dimension we haven't got and haven't had at the club for a long time - excellent pace and he goes off the shoulder. He's played in wide positions and for me he's an out-and-out centre-forward and goalscorer. "He's a big talent and there's a lot of clubs after him, Brian Marwood (football administration officer at Manchester City) has done us a big favour and they've agreed to let him come to us. The arrival of Nimely at the Ricoh Arena could pave the way for the departure of Lukas Jutkiewicz, who is a £2million target for Middlesbrough.
