Madjo keen to take Vale chance

On-loan striker Guy Madjo is determined to make the most of his temporary spell at Port Vale.

Madjo joined Vale from Stevenage until January 3 on Thursday and made his full debut for the League Two club against Torquay the following day. It was only the 27-year-old's second first-team appearance of the season after failing to make an impact at Stevenage since signing at the Lamex Stadium in the summer. "I'm more than pleased to be at Vale because the most important thing is to be playing and being happy," Madjo told Vale's official website. "When I signed for Stevenage I knew it would be a tough challenge because they had won back-to-back promotions. "I love big challenges, but I've not had many chances and that is difficult to handle. The gaffer at Stevenage knows I've been frustrated, so I had said that if something came up I would prefer to go out and play football. (Vale manager) Micky Adams has so much experience, I just wanted to come here and take the chance. "Vale are a big club. They are in League Two but they deserve to be playing at a higher level. I'm here until January so I need to keep playing, enjoy what I'm doing, show what I can do and then see what happens."
