Former Bolton, Blackburn and Derby defender Andy Todd is training with Port Vale after his release from Oldham last season.
The 37-year-old recently played in a behind-closed-doors friendly for the League Two club. He could also feature when Vale reserves play Walsall on Tuesday afternoon, in a game that could see an outing for suspended midfielder Gary Roberts. However, it appears that Todd will not be offered a contract at Vale Park. "Andy asked to come into training, and playing for the reserves will do him a favour as there may be scouts at the game," Vale assistant manager Mark Grew told The Sentinel. "But there's nothing on the table for him here at the moment."
