Williamson wants more goals

Port Vale new-boy Ben Williamson is aiming to extend his scoring streak after netting twice in the club's first two pre-season friendlies.

The 22-year-old striker got off the mark in Saturday's clash with Stafford Rangers, before firing the winner in a 1-0 victory over Newcastle Town the following day. He told Vale's official website: "Two goals in two games - not a bad ratio so far, hopefully I can keep it up! "As a striker you always want to score goals, even in training you get a buzz out of it. The more goals you get the more confident you get, and that is what it comes down to. "It has only been 10 days but I have settled in quite quickly. I am getting along really well with all the boys. "It is going to be a lot of hard work - we are going to be spending 24 hours together each day."
