Port Vale have been dealt a double injury blow with the news that Marc Richards and Doug Loft face prolonged spells out.
Richards, who has 10 goals in 22 league games this season, was originally thought to have suffered a severe dead leg in the 2-1 win over Burton but a scan has shown a grade two tear to a thigh muscle, meaning he will be out for six weeks.
Loft has suffered a calf tear and will be out for around a month.
