Vale stopper wins appeal

Port Vale's Stuart Tomlinson has won his appeal against the red card he was shown against Rotherham United.

The goalkeeper was sent off for violent conduct following a clash with Marcus Marshall in Vale's 5-0 defeat to the Millers on New Year's Day and was due to start a three-match ban. Tomlinson will now be eligible for first-team action after the Football Association reviewed the decision and agreed the referee was wrong to produce the red card.
