Notts County fear defender Liam Chilvers could be sidelined for two months after suffering a knee injury against MK Dons.

Chilvers was hurt during the first half of Saturday's 2-0 win over the Dons and is due to undergo an X-ray on the injury.

Initial concerns are that the 29-year-old has damaged ligaments and Magpies boss Paul Ince lamented the injury to Chilvers.

"It's a disappointing blow because Liam and Eddy (Mike Edwards) were forming a really good partnership," said Ince.

"Liam's injury is the only negative from the game, and he will go for an X-ray to see exactly how bad it is."

Chilvers joined the League One club in the summer from Preston North End and has so far made 12 appearances in all competitions.
