Port Vale have secured the signing of striker Lewis Haldane after he was released by Bristol Rovers.
The 24-year-old was already on loan at Vale Park until the end of the season, but following his contract resolution with Rovers, he will now play out the remainder of the campaign on a permanent deal.
Haldane, who initially moved to the club in September, has made 11 starts in League Two for Vale this term, and he is hoping to earn a longer contract with his performances.
"I'm pleased with it," he told the club's official website. "I knew my future was not at Bristol Rovers so there was no point being there any longer.
"I hope I can do well until the end of the season and see what happens after that.
"I could do with a few more goals under my belt but I am out there on the wing at the moment so I'll just have to keep on going with that.
"I have really enjoyed it here. The boys have made me feel welcome and the staff have been brilliant - hopefully now I can push on with my career now and help Port Vale do well this season."
Vale's next game is at home in the league against relegation-threatened Hereford on Saturday.
