Midfielder unsure if he has a long-term future with League Two club

Port Vale midfielder Jason Jarrett is waiting to hold talks with manager Micky Adams to determine if he has a future at the club. The 30-year-old signed a short-term deal until 28th December when he joined the League Two outfit back in September. Positive initial performances were followed by some indifferent displays which saw him lose his place in the side. But he was recalled for Tuesday's triumph at Lincoln and is keen to prove his worth to Adams with talks over his future yet to take place. "I am happy here - happy with the lads and the manager," he told The Sentinel. "But we have not spoken about extending my stay yet, so I'm still in the dark a little bit. We will see come January. "I'm not ready to commit completely yet because nothing has been said, but I am enjoying myself. It is a good club that has potential. I think the club can meet my own ambitions and Micky Adams is a major attraction for me. "He's a top-class manager and if he's willing to commit himself then other people will as well. "I've obviously still got something to prove because nobody has come to me with an offer yet. All I can do is try to play well and see where it takes me."
