Defender keen for answers on club's future

John McCombe has called on Port Vale to end the uncertainty surrounding the club's future ownership. The League Two strugglers are in negotiations with Harlequin Property regarding the possibility of the shirt sponsors becoming the club's majority shareholders. The situation has placed a question mark over the future of manager Dean Glover, while several players are out of contract at the end of the season. McCombe has a further 12 months to run on his deal at Vale Park, but believes the situation has been unsettling for the squad. "It's hard being around the club at the moment because we don't know what is going to happen next year," McCombe told The Sentinel. "Certain players are out of contract and they don't know if they are going to get a new one. Then there are players like myself who are contracted to the club next season. "We want to know what's happening - which players are going to be here and who's going to be manager."
