Loft and Palmer keen to play

Doug Loft and Aiden Palmer have admitted they are open to permanent deals at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Midfielder Loft has joined the Daggers on loan from Brighton, while full-back Palmer has recently arrived from Leyton Orient.

Both are keen to grasp the chance to play regular first-team football and Loft would be tempted by the prospect of staying with the League Two club.

Loft told the Ilford Recorder: "My contract is up in the summer and I'm not sure what is happening at the moment, so if everything goes well for Dagenham, then who knows?

"It's up to the manager whether I start on Saturday, but I will be ready if that is the case.

"I like to attack and get forward. I try to nick a few goals too, so that is what I will be aiming to do."

Palmer added: "I've been at Orient since I was nine. I'm 22 now so I think a change is best for me. The boys at Dagenham are different class."
